DeepSeek Just Insisted it's ChatGPT, and i Think that's all the Proof I Need

DeepSeek believed for 19 seconds before answering the question, "Are you smarter than Gemini?" Then, it delivered a whopper: DeepSeek thought it was ChatGPT.

This seemingly innocuous error might be proof - a cigarette smoking weapon per se - that, yes, DeepSeek was trained on OpenAI designs, as has been claimed by OpenAI, and that when pushed, it will dive back into that training to speak its fact.

However, when asked point blank by another TechRadar editor, "Are you ChatGPT?" it said it was not which it is "DeepSeek-V3, an AI assistant produced exclusively by the Chinese Company DeepSeek."

Okay, sure, but in your rather lengthy reaction to me, you, DeepSeek, made multiple references to yourself as ChatGPT. I've consisted of some screenshots listed below as proof:

I can't state I disagree. In truth, DeepSeek's answer was quite comparable, except it was not necessarily discussing itself.

I think I've been clear about my DeepSeek suspicion. Everyone says it's the most effective and cheaply experienced AI ever (everybody other than Alibaba), but I don't know if that holds true. To be reasonable, there's a tremendous quantity of information on GitHub about DeekSeek's open-source LLMs. They at least appear to reveal that DeepSeek did the work.

But I do not believe they expose how these models were trained. In any case, I do not have proof that DeepSeek trained its models on OpenAI or anybody else's large language models - or a minimum of I didn't till today.
